Only when you go inside this mid-terraced house do you get the full treatment! It was warm and welcoming, and the view from the window was breath-taking. We stood for some minutes drinking it all in. The owner is at the end of a phone, and answers any queries almost immediately. Although our stay was in a very cold January, Brixham still has much to offer. Although billed as over a hundred steps to the quayside, we only counted 65! The house is over four storeys, and wherever you go there are steps! We must have gone up and down hundreds of steps in our three-day stay, so should be really fit now! We can't recommend this house strongly enough.
We had a fantastic stay at Sunberry cottage. Communication with Katy was excellent and prompt. The cottage has all you could possibly need with the most amazing views over the harbour and bay from the large terrace. The cottage is high on the hill and the walk back up is challenging but we either took is slow or used a local taxi for a few quid. Would definately recommend Sunberry Cottage for a very comfortable and clean break away in lovely Brixham. Thank you for a lovely break x
This house is full of character and has stunning views of Brixham on four levels. There is a lovely patio and garden with a sea view. The house has a homely feel and is extremely well equipped. The bed is very comfortable. There is a well stocked library and plenty of games for families plus Wifi and a good TV and DVD. The owners have thought of everything and there is a detailed welcome pack. The property was very clean when we arrived with special care given to providing all the cleaning and sanitising products necessary to deal with the COVID situation. The property is a short steep walk from the town centre and harbour, took us less than ten minutes. There is good secure private parking available.
We had our first family holiday here last week with our 6 month old and my parents and it was fantastic. Katy, the owner, was so helpful before and during our stay. She provided so many last minute things such as a cot, highchair etc... The house was clean and the views were just incredible. The patio area over looking the harbour was so lovely to sit out on and having the table and chairs out there was a bonus. Having a secure area to park our cars was so helpful too especially as Brixham harbour is so popular. Perfectly located too within easy walking distance to the harbour, restaurants and pubs. Would highly recommend and am already looking forward to a future booking!
We had a lovely family holiday staying at the cottage in Brixham. The house was beautiful, clean, comfortable and the views were spectacular. The owner was very helpful and friendly. There was lots to do and see that couldn’t be crammed into a week so we intend to come back next year. Lovely break and would definitely recommend
This is the first time we have stayed at Sealark cottage and can’t wait to return! We were blown away with the location and spent many wonderful hours sitting on the decking until the sun went down. The cottage is exactly as the pictures show and as described. The utility area was fantastic for my husband and son to store their kayak and fishing equipment and plenty of room to park our car too. The owners were really helpful and friendly . Thank you for a lovely stay!
Had a wonderful 5 nights stay in February. Perfect location, easy stroll into town only 15 minutes away. Amazing views from patio. Kitchen well appointed, dogs very comfortable in their utility area (although we were surprised as a dog friendly cottage they were not allowed inside at all - didn’t bother us really as we were out all day!). Spotlessly clean. Owners were very welcoming and communication was brilliant before, during and after. Decor and furniture rather dated, but we didn’t book for that! Highly recommended and we would love to do a revisit sometime. Very convenient compared to lots of Brixham properties for accessibility into the town. Many thanks Katy for a wonderful stay.
Phenomenal! Spectacular sea views we saw the seals as we were washing the pots out of the kitchen window! Waking up to a sea view is wonderful. The cottage is cosy, clean and the beds are comfy. The gate at the bottom of the garden takes you straight into the car park of the Shoalstone Outdoor Pool which was a lovely cafe and to the right there is an area of the rocks you can sit on as the tide goes out the kids loved this! The cottage is next to the Berry Head Hotel which does a lovely afternoon tea. If you have mobility issues you can take the path at the front of the house to Brixham town to avoid the steps as you can walk along the costal path. Five minute walk to Breakwater Beach where we spent most our time watching the seals and the cafe called the Breakwater Bistro serves the most amazing food. We did lots of crabbing with the kids which again only a 15 minute walk away in beautiful Brixham Marina. Thank you Katy and Tony for a wonderful stay we will definitely be booking again!
